iDashboards does have the ability to build dashboards off of your SalesForce data. Due to the complexity of the data structure iDashboards recommends a sync of the data back to a localized database to improve the performance of your dashboard. Below are two different connection methods that allow you to create that synchronized environment.
When using the DBAmp connection you can be configured for a real-time query or for a synchronized environment. As previously mentioned the support team does recommend the synchronized method as external network performance and server load would not be a concern. When using the DBAmp connection iDashboards does offer a pre-built set of dashboards and charts to help you get started.
The iDashboards SalesForce Pack is delivered as is. There will be no modification of the dashboards by the Technical Support team. The iDashboards Technical Support team has put a lot of effort into making sure that the dashboards contain as much information as can be provided. By downloading and installing the iDashboards SalesForce Pack the iDashboards Administrator assumes responsibility for its usage and for understanding the data presented. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE iDashboards SalesForce Pack WILL BE MADE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE iDashboards Technical Support team.
When using the CData Sync connection your SalesForce data will be synchronized to a local database, this connection type leverages the SalesForce API. This database is then connected to iDashboards for access to your data. When using the CData connection iDashboards does NOT offer a pre-built set of dashboards and charts.
