A “HTTP Status 500 – java.lang.NullPointerException” error occurs when selecting ‘Export Chart Data…’ from the right-click menu.
Adobe released a Flash Player update v188.8.131.52 on May 13, 2014 and Flash Player update v184.108.40.206 on July 8, 2014 that has a bug that breaks the “Export Chart Data…” (to CSV/Excel) for all charts in all versions of iDashboards. If you have the Flash Players set to auto update, then you most likely have encountered this. It’s already generated a number of tickets in Support and as a result of this, we've released iDashboards Version 8.0i to resolve the issues.

You have three choices on what to do:
- Wait for Adobe to release a version of the Flash Player that resolves this issue. Note that this may never happen.
- Uninstall Flash and re-install to a version prior to 220.127.116.11. Then set the Flash Player to never update or ask prior to updating, instead of an automatic update. Note that this may lead to an insecure Flash Player at some point in time.
- Upgrade iDashboards to version 8.0i or later. Note that this is your best option.
