Scorecard chart symbols, implemented as arrows in the data column, only recognize if a value is negative, neutral, or positive. They are incapable of tracking changes to a specific data set such as trends.
The way the symbols currently work is based on the value of the column. If the value is negative the arrow will point down, if the value is neutral (zero) the arrow will be horizontal, and if the value is positive the arrow will point up.
You can create the effect but the calculation for negative, neutral or positive trend values will need to be calculated in the data in order for comparative values to be monitored. The value can be calculated by the data source and returned in the result set, or calculated by the use of a derived column from an expression within iDashboards application.
Please see the iDashboards Analytics Manual for more information on expressions.
