Question:
How to set a maximum grid value on the Y axis scale? OR
How to customize the Y axis scale of a Bar chart?
Answer:
Follow the below steps to resolve the issue:
- Right click on the chart and select 'Chart Designer'
- Scroll down to the 'Bar Settings' or chart specific settings.
- Enable 'Force Grid Boundaries' Requested Maximum value = <max value> Requested Minimum value = <min value> or 0
This will increase the value of the maximum X-Axis shown to the selected value. However, please note that the max grid value will now not change according to the data set, so if the result set receives a value greater than the set grid maximum value, if might go out of the scale.

This does not work for my bar chart.
However the Dynamic Grid Boundaries work fine.
What could be the reason?
Is there a similar feature for a thermometer graph?
That option is not available for thermometer graphs.
