Dashboard developers may want to be able to have users access a dashboard from a drilldown but not give the users direct access to open the dashboard from a category.

V8.0 and newer.
With version 8 of iDashboards we have made some changes to help with being able to customize what your users see. Now to disable dashboards from view. Select the dashboard that you would like to hide, you will see the gear in the top right corner of the dashboard. This will bring up a menu, select "Extended Dashboard Properties". In the properties menu you will see the option to "Hide in Dashboard List" by selecting this option you will hide the dashboard from the menu option.
V7.5 and earlier
From the iDashboards Admin console select 'System'. Select 'Security Settings' from the 'Setting Category' dropdown box. Edit the option for 'Override Security on Dashboard Drilldown' and set this value to 'True'. This will allow users to access dashboards through drilldowns that they would not otherwise have access to.
Note: This makes the behavior of dashboard drilldowns similar to that of chart drilldowns, in which users may drill down to any chart regardless of their groups' access to its category.
