Often a customer will want to use one of the iDashboards date macros in the title of a chart. Unfortunately the format of the datetimes do not display as expect.
When using a date macro in the title of a chart, the whole data time value will be displayed. For example:
Total Sales as of 2012-12-16 00:00:00.00
This is generally not the format that a user wants to see in the title. Often the user wants to see the data with just a date or just a time in a specified format. Titles cannot be formatted thus the date macro will always display with the full date and time.
Try using the ViFrame to display the date macro. If you use the ViFrame, as a separate chart, for the title instead of the title option from the charts properties you can format the date as you would like. Do not use a title in the chart at all.
